CHILLMINE, an innovative Seattle, WA-based Data Centre company and Energywise Equipment (Private) Limited, a leading Zimbabwe-based independent power producer (IPP) have announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly pursue the development of data centre facilities powered by renewable energy in Zimbabwe. CHILLMINE’s liquid cooling solutions will drastically reduce operating costs and the environmental footprint of data centres in this growing region.
The MOU outlines a framework for the development of data centre facilities and Energywise’s 100MW Runde River Solar Park, located in Zvishavane, Zimbabwe. This collaboration aims to leverage the solar energy generated by the Runde River Solar Park to power Chillmine’s data centre operations, focusing on services such as crypto mining, crypto mining hosting and AI Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
