Belltown Power unveils plans for six data centres across Dallas-Fort Worth

Renewable energy firm Belltown Power Texas has announced plans to develop six new data centre sites across the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) metroplex.

The projects boast a combined power requirement of a substantial 1,435 megawatts.

Strategically positioned near key transmission infrastructure, the sites promise rapid connection options and the capacity for significant expansion, catering to the growing demands of hyperscale and AI operations.

Belltown Power has already developed over three gigawatts of solar and battery storage projects in North Texas, providing the company with valuable insight into grid capabilities and prime locations for data centres requiring dependable and swift power access.

One of the six proposed sites, a 15-megawatt development, has already secured committed capacity from the local utility provider. The remaining projects are currently progressing through feasibility studies with the respective utility companies.

“As we continue to develop solar and battery energy storage sites, we believe that work will complement our data centre projects and vice versa,” said Jeffrey Clay, Co‑founder of Belltown Power Texas.

“Our deep knowledge of the ERCOT grid paired with our North Texas development expertise gives us a significant advantage in selecting prime locations for quick interconnection and reliable power supply, allowing us to deliver high-quality, efficient data centre solutions.”
