Acronis, a global leader in cyber protection and top provider for international sports teams, announced that it has been selected by FC INTERNAZIONALE MILANO, or Inter, for complete protection for all its data, applications, and systems

Acronis, a global leader in cyber protection and top provider for international sports teams, has announced that it has been selected by FC INTERNAZIONALE MILANO, or Inter, for complete protection for all its data, applications and systems – hundreds of petabytes generated by the club and millions of its fans around the world.

The official partnership was launched at the Acronis headquarters in Singapore where Inter’s goalkeeper Tommaso Berni, team captain Samir Handanovic and Corporate Chief Executive Officer Alessandro Antonello celebrated the deal between the two high-performing brands.

With four billion fans supporting football globally, Inter is extremely popular in Italy and one of the most supported teams on the planet.

Thanks to Acronis Backup, Disaster Recovery and Storage solutions, Inter is now able to securely store and share unlimited volumes of data, allowing it to grow and expand, all while knowing that its crucial data is secured and can be accessed easily. Acronis states it provides the fastest backup on the market. With its help, Inter can now restore data in under 15 seconds and the club can securely access data from any location, even when the team is on the road.

“Inter has a century-long history, yet it takes full advantage of the modern innovations, specifically in cyber protection. Realising that data is the most valuable resource today and needs advanced protection is what makes Inter’s vision so similar to ours – and that’s where Acronis can lend a hand with our existing solutions,” said Serguei Beloussov, founder and CEO of Acronis.

This new partnership brings to life Acronis’ vision of the modern cyber protection – modern data needs are growing daily from the amount of data to its different uses to the number of data sources and locations.

The only way for an organisation as Inter to fully manage and safeguard that data is to address all Five Vectors of Cyber Protection – namely the safety, accessibility, privacy, authenticity and security of data (SAPAS).

“It’s great having an industry expert like Acronis with such a strong presence and expertise in data-driven sports,” said FC Internazionale Milano Corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello. “We have very high hopes for this technological partnership to help Inter advance even further, shape it to fit the modern high standards of international sports – and prepare for the future.”
