Manchester data centre operator, TeleData, has announced that it is working with Zayo to bring diverse fibre routes into its Manchester data centre facility. Zayo will provide resilient high capacity network options ranging from 1Gbps and 10Gbps wavelengths to dedicated dark fibre circuits, bolstering TeleData’s carrier neutral network offering and the availability of leading network providers on-site.
Zayo’s routes into TeleData’s facility will be completely independent from other fibre providers’ routes and will also widen the availability of diverse links to other connectivity hotspots such as major national data centres and other connectivity heavy technical and commercial hubs. Services are expected to be live in Q3 of 2020.
Matthew Edgley, Director for TeleData, said: “We’re proud to be working with Zayo to boost our offering as a carrier neutral data centre. It gives our customers increased flexibility of choice, meaning we can help meet their requirements with connectivity options that are competitive on performance, service and price.”
Andrew Tipping, Business Development Director for Zayo, said: “Manchester and the whole of the North of England is a key market for Zayo in Europe and we’re delighted to bring our suite of connectivity options to TeleData in Manchester. We’re looking forward to further expansion in the region and to playing our part in the UK Government’s ambition to level-up the availability of key infrastructure across the UK.”
The news of additional carrier diversity comes as TeleData announced its £2 million data centre facility expansion last month – news which will benefit both new and existing clients of the data centre provider.
TeleData is also a major point of presence for peering exchange, LINX Manchester, and offers both small scale and wholesale data centre centre solutions for businesses to outsource their business-critical IT platforms and server infrastructure.
Zayo is the leading provider of communications infrastructure, with dense, high-quality networks in every major market in North America and many in Western Europe.
