DE-CIX’s Partner Program helps channel partners tap into US$157 billion AI reseller market and meet the growing connectivity demands for automation and IoT.

DE-CIX, one of the world’s leading Internet Exchange (IX) operators, has announced the expansion of its long-established Partner Program. DE-CIX is now the only data centre and carrier-neutral IX operator worldwide to extend its Partner Program beyond traditional wholesale partners and resellers to enterprise-facing partners to include a wider ecosystem. This now includes Managed Service Providers (MSPs), technology suppliers, strategists and advisors, systems integrators and Telecom Service Brokers (TSBs).

According to research by Canalys, the potential revenue from AI-powered business opportunities for channel partners is expected to rise to US$157 billion by 2028. The R3 (R-cubed) Partner Program, which stands for ‘Resell, Refer, Reach’, has been designed specifically to help enterprise-facing partners deliver and capitalise on the growing connectivity needs of IoT, cloud and AI-based services.

This new programme iteration dramatically extends the scope of the existing programme’s benefits. Partners will benefit from preferential pricing across the entire DE-CIX portfolio, including peering, connectivity to 50+ cloud providers using the DE-CIX DirectCLOUD service, the Microsoft Azure Peering Service (MAPS) and the virtual and highly scalable DE-CIX Cloud ROUTER, as well as virtual private point-to-point connections. A simplified scoring system has also been introduced which affords all partners an incentivised route to Premium Partner status. Premium status offers greater margin benefits, as well as a personal partner manager, market development funds and the opportunity to run joint campaigns.

Partner status broadened to include Managed Service Providers, Systems Integrators, etc.

MSPs and Systems Integrators, along with technology suppliers, strategists and advisors, and Telecom Service Brokers (TSBs), can now enrich their portfolios with DE-CIX’s enterprise-grade services, coupled with global 24/7 customer service and DE-CIX’s support in solution design and value engineering if desired.

DE-CIX’s world-leading peering solution brings together a global ecosystem of more than 3,500 carriers, ISPs, cloud service providers and other network operators – including enterprise networks – that MSPs can capitalise on to provide competitive, tailored connectivity solutions to their customers. This ecosystem can be leveraged to provide high-performance, low-latency, flexible, secure and resilient connectivity fit for the demands of modern digitalisation.

“Secure and high-performance direct interconnection is key to unlocking greater economic potential for industries across the board. The new DE-CIX R3 (R-cubed) Partner Program supports all of our partners to grow together with us by providing excellent interconnection services to meet the needs of enterprises and organisations,” said Mareike Jacobshagen, Head of Global Business Partner Program at DE-CIX.

“The DE-CIX interconnection and cloud connectivity services perfectly complement and enrich the existing portfolios of our partners – be it network operators and Internet Service Providers or equally MSPs, systems integrators and other enterprise-facing service providers. Together with our valued partners, both from the traditional infrastructure sector and new sectors, we build unrivalled interconnection ecosystems that are used every day by networks, companies and organisations around the globe to exchange data reliably, securely and fast,” Jacobshagen added.

Alongside the new drive for enterprise-facing partners, DE-CIX will continue to maintain and nurture its strong link to long-standing wholesale and reselling partners.
