Latin America’s accelerating investment in AI infrastructure and data centres will take centre stage when industry leaders gather in Santiago, Chile, for the Data Center & AI Infrastructure LATAM 2026 conference on July 9-10.
Hosted by PEAK Events at the Santiago Marriott Hotel, the two-day conference is expected to bring together data centre operators, hyperscale cloud providers, investors, technology vendors, government agencies and enterprise users to examine the region’s rapidly expanding Digital Transformation landscape.
The event – with IGM as Media Partner – comes as Latin America continues to attract significant investment in digital infrastructure, driven by growing AI adoption, expanding cloud services, increasing demand for local data processing and access to renewable energy resources.
Countries including Chile, Brazil and Argentina are emerging as key locations for hyperscale data centre development as organisations seek to deploy AI workloads closer to users while addressing data sovereignty and sustainability requirements.
Industry executives will discuss the commercial and technical challenges associated with delivering next-generation AI infrastructure, including power availability, cooling technologies, project delivery, energy efficiency and long-term sustainability.
The conference agenda has been divided into two themes. The opening day will focus on market dynamics and AI infrastructure, with sessions examining the policy landscape for Latin American data centres, Chile’s role as a regional connectivity hub, investment opportunities and the realities of scaling AI infrastructure across the region. A gala networking dinner will conclude the first day’s programme.
The second day will concentrate on infrastructure deployment, energy and engineering considerations. Topics will include hyperscale data centre expansion, grid capacity and energy policy, renewable energy integration, energy storage, cooling systems and the technical requirements of supporting increasingly demanding AI workloads.
A broad cross-section of the digital infrastructure ecosystem is expected to participate, including representatives from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, Microsoft, InvestChile, Equinix, ODATA, Cirion Technologies, Ascenty, Elea Data Centers, OMNIA Data Centers, DataCenterHawk, DC Byte, IDC, Vertiv, Schneider Electric, Munters, Hitachi Energy, Tesla and Atlas Renewable Energy.
Government and industry organisations will also contribute, including Chile’s Ministry of Energy, the Coordinador Eléctrico Nacional, the Chile Data Centers Association, the Colombian Association of Data Centers (ACOLDC) and the Brazilian Data Center Association (ABDC).
Organisers said the conference is intended to provide a forum for stakeholders across the digital infrastructure sector to exchange market insights, explore investment opportunities and address the challenges associated with supporting AI-driven growth throughout Latin America.
