Vultr has expanded its European presence with the launch of a new cloud data centre region in Milan, Italy, marking the company’s 33rd global cloud region and ninth in Europe.
The Milan region strengthens Vultr’s focus on delivering affordable, high-performance cloud infrastructure for enterprises, developers and AI workloads across Europe. The facility will support Vultr’s full-stack AI infrastructure portfolio, including its VX1 cloud compute platform alongside bare metal and cloud GPU offerings powered by NVIDIA and AMD technologies.
Vultr said the new region is designed to support demanding workloads including AI, SaaS applications, databases, analytics, ERP software, APIs and microservices. Cloud Compute plans range from two to 192 vCPUs, offering dedicated resources, transparent billing and broad software compatibility.
According to Vultr, its Cloud Compute platform delivers up to 23% higher performance and 33% lower costs than comparable hyperscaler services, resulting in significantly improved price-to-performance for customers.
The company also confirmed it has connected its Autonomous System Number to the Milan Internet Exchange, enabling local traffic peering, reduced latency and improved bandwidth for regional users.
