ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC), a leading global data centre provider, has announced the opening of STT Seoul 1, its first data centre in South Korea, establishing a strategic foothold for STT GDC in one of Asia’s most advanced digital markets.
Developed and operated through a joint venture between STT GDC (60%) and Hyosung Heavy Industries (40%), the move extends STT GDC’s platform to support customers deploying AI and cloud infrastructure across Northeast Asia.
South Korea is a strategically important market for high-performance digital infrastructure, underpinned by strong enterprise digitalisation and growing demand for compute capacity. The opening of STT Seoul 1 reflects STT GDC’s broader approach to expanding in markets where long-term digital demand, infrastructure readiness and customer requirements are converging. The facility is designed to support a range of hyperscale and enterprise deployments, including evolving high-density workloads.

Located in Gasan-dong, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, STT Seoul 1 comprises approximately 40,000 square metres of gross floor area and supports up to 30MW of IT load, with full commercial operations beginning in June 2026.
